When the temperature drops, no one should be left out in the cold. Keep Our Cities Warm brings warmth, supplies and a simple, powerful message to people experiencing homelessness: you matter.
Overview
Canadian winters are unforgiving. For people living on the street, a cold night can be a matter of survival. Keep Our Cities Warm is our seasonal outreach into the heart of our cities, meeting people exactly where they are with the essentials that get them through.
But warmth is about more than a coat. Every blanket handed over comes with eye contact, a conversation and the reminder that someone sees them. For many, that dignity is the first step back toward hope.
What we do
- Distribute warm coats, blankets, gloves and hygiene kits
- Provide hot meals and warm drinks on cold nights
- Hand out winter survival kits with daily essentials
- Connect people to shelter, mental health and recovery resources
